Drunk Senior Officer Assaults Commando; Father Denies Apology

The father of a Royal Thai Police Commando officer beaten by a drunk senior officer at a Pak Kret karaoke bar has denied media reports that the attacker apologized and delivered a gift basket. Pol. Lt. Col. Sathaporn, the Pak Kret deputy investigation chief, allegedly assaulted the sergeant major on October 31, causing serious eye injuries. Over 30 Commandos later gathered at the station in solidarity, while the Nonthaburi police commander ordered both disciplinary and criminal action against the perpetrators.

The father of a Commando police sergeant major called former star investigator Johnny Mueprab to clarify that reports of an apology and gift basket from the drunk senior officer who assaulted his son are false. He says his family is under pressure from multiple sides, noting the attacker is the same rank as himself.

The violent incident occurred at 11:00 p.m. on October 31, 2026, when Pol. Lt. Col. Sathaporn (surname withheld), deputy investigation chief at Pak Kret Police Station, along with subordinates, severely beat a sergeant major attached to the Commando Police while drunk at a karaoke bar, causing a burst blood vessel in the officer's eye. Later reports claimed Pol. Lt. Col. Sathaporn had apologized and delivered a gift basket to the victim.

Regarding the case, Johnny Mueprab, a famous former policeman, released a video of his conversation with the injured officer's father. He wrote that the father of the Commando officer assaulted by Pak Kret police had called asking for help to go public, stating they had not received any apology and were unsatisfied.

The father revealed that information is being distorted, with claims that the offending officer doubted his son was really a Commando. He confirmed they have not been contacted for an apology nor received any gift basket, contrary to news reports.

"Right now I'm with my son, feeling sorry for him because he's being pressured from all sides. The man who beat my son is the same rank as me," the father said.

Johnny Mueprab stated the issue involves a senior police officer; if the junior was at fault, he should have been ordered to the ground or taken to the station, not assaulted. He said drinking to this extent is disgraceful, and the victim is like a son to him — why go after him? He declared he stands 100% with the Commando officer because of his old Commando ties. If the officer doesn't get justice or faces pressure, he should call; Johnny will "bring out the weapons" for him. Commandos love each other; he doesn't want police fighting police or Commandos mobilizing for real. He doesn't want to bring out weapons, but the person who harmed the officer should come apologize.

Over 30 Commando officers stormed the Pak Kret police barracks to support the sergeant major assaulted by the drunk deputy chief. The cause: the deputy chief drunkenly provoked the Commando in the karaoke bar, demanding to know his rank and saying "I'm Pak Kret police" before the group attack. The Nonthaburi Provincial Police Commander has ordered both disciplinary and criminal proceedings against the deputy chief and his subordinates.
