DT Motorsport Issues 19-Page Docs to Justify Kart Racer's Engine
DT Motorsport has published a 19‑page document defending the engine cylinder head used by young kart racer 'Storm', son of celebrities Chompoo Araya and Not Wisarut, insisting it is genuine and complies with IAME X30 Water Swift 60cc regulations. The release follows protests alleging the team used a 2014‑spec cylinder head to gain an unfair advantage in the Super Kart Thailand 2026 Cadet B class. The team says they respect the protest process and call for a fact‑based discussion, noting the vehicle passed pre‑ and post‑race inspections.
DT Motorsport stressed that the IAME X30 Water Swift 60cc engine powering Storm’s kart is entirely genuine, retaining its original serial number and showing no signs of alteration. The cylinder head is listed in the official standard certificate 364/H, which the competition rules reference, and the factory has approved multiple variants; all share identical port sizes and angles, giving no performance advantage. The kart passed inspection by officials both before and after the race.
The team said they respect the right to protest and the authority of R.Y.S.T., urging that any discussion be based on facts and documents rather than personal attacks, noting that the competitors are children aged 8–11 who have trained hard.
They have published the full 19‑page explanation together with the IAME certification documents to prove the engine’s compliance with the regulations.
