Thai Social Welfare Council Opens e-Donation Platform
The Thai Social Welfare Council has launched an e-Donation platform allowing the public to support assistance programs for disadvantaged groups through QR code scanning, with donations eligible for tax deductions.
Dr. Manus Nonuch, chairman of the Thai Social Welfare Council under Royal Patronage, has announced that the organization continues its mission to improve the quality of life for people in need within society, including the disadvantaged, elderly, people with disabilities, children, and youth. The council is promoting volunteer work to build a sharing society that leaves no one behind.
The Thai Social Welfare Council has now opened donations to support its social welfare operations and assistance programs. Members of the public can easily contribute through the e-Donation system by scanning a QR code. Donation information is entered into the e-Donation system, and donors can claim a one-time tax deduction according to established guidelines.
"Giving does not have to be large," Dr. Manus said. "Sometimes a small gesture for us may be an important opportunity for someone else. Every act of kindness has meaning and can pass on opportunity to those waiting for help."
Dr. Manus invited all sectors of society to join as a force for sharing. Whether donations are large or small, they all have value and can advance the mission to help the disadvantaged and those seeking opportunity in society. "A better society begins when we each contribute a little," he concluded.
