The Election Commission began voting on fraud charges involving 229 Senate candidates on September 14, 2025, at 10 a.m., with all seven commissioners present. Over 200 police officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau and stations including Thung Song Khwang, Pracha Chuen, and Don Muang secured the perimeter. Each commissioner submitted a private ballot to tabulate results across seven charges under Senate election law: (1) party officials or political figures assisting candidates; (2) candidates accepting assistance from political figures; (3) candidates failing to follow Election Commission procedures for self-presentation; (4) offering property or benefits to influence voting; (5) providing meals to encourage voters; (6) soliciting property or benefits to register; and (7) voters accepting property or benefits in exchange for their vote.
The 229 accused comprise four groups: 138 current senators, 21 government ministers and Bhumjaithai executives, 20 Bhumjaithai network members, and 50 alternate senators and candidates. Results are expected at 3 p.m.
