On September 28, under the direction of Pumivisal Kaetsuksuk, Secretary of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, officials including Narong Suwanasit, director of the Anti-Corruption Commission Region 6, and Saravut Kamluang, commander of the Crime Suppression Division, authorized investigators including Somboonchai Inthtub, Aswinn Benjohn, and Wisut Saensamran to arrest a suspect identified only as Mr. S. pursuant to a provincial court warrant issued September 17, 2025.
The arrested suspect previously held positions as public works director, subdistrict administrator, and deputy administrator at a subdistrict municipality in Bueng Samphran, Phetchabun. According to the investigation, the officials collaborated to authorize checks from the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives to pay individuals with no entitlement to funds across 23 fraudulent projects, misappropriating 1,408,945 baht in 2011. The suspect was apprehended on a street near a vocational training center in Khon Kaen city and has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Commission Region 6 court for legal proceedings.
