Families Collect 27 Identified Victims From Ladprao Beer Hall Fire
Families have begun collecting 27 identified victims from the deadly Ladprao beer hall fire, with authorities establishing a coordination center at the Police Hospital to process remains for repatriation to hometowns.
Families of those killed in the Ladprao beer hall fire are progressively collecting remains to return home, with 27 victims now identified and three more under examination. On July 14, 2569, staff from the Po Ek Tung Foundation and the Police Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine established a document and coordination center at the Police Hospital to support families in repatriating their loved ones after completing all required procedures. As of the previous day, seven families had already collected and taken remains back to their hometowns.
To claim a victim's remains, the authorized person must be a direct relative under Thai law—a parent, child, or legally registered spouse. If a direct relative cannot travel, they may authorize someone else through power-of-attorney and supporting documents. Document verification began at 08:30 this morning, with remains being released to families throughout the afternoon for transport home at no cost.
Regarding identification progress, a total of 29 bodies have been delivered to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, with two additional bodies brought in the previous day. To date, 17 families have arrived to provide identification and data matching. Overall operations have proceeded smoothly without major obstacles, though staff continue to require time for analysis and data comparison as families of victims continue to arrive for forensic and legal procedures.
