Father Held in Police Custody Receives Supplies Visit
A deputy police superintendent surrendered in Chonburi after shooting his wife, a kindergarten teacher, at her workplace; he remained in custody for questioning as forensic teams collected evidence from his vehicle.
Deputy Superintendent Thatchapon 'Muat O' of Bang La Muang Police Station surrendered at approximately 6:20 a.m. on September 10, 2025, after his son, a police officer, spent the night persuading him to do so. He is accused of shooting his wife, a kindergarten teacher known as 'Khru Poerl', at a municipal kindergarten in Nong Pla Lai subdistrict. As of 9:50 a.m. on September 10, Muat O remained in custody undergoing questioning on the third floor of Bang La Muang Police Station.
Senior Sergeant Folk, along with his wife and relatives, traveled to the police station to deliver clothing, food, and personal medications to Muat O. Folk proceeded directly to the interrogation room without disclosing further details. Meanwhile, Chonburi Provincial Forensic Police collected gunpowder residue samples from the white Honda Civic bearing a Bangkok license plate that Muat O used during the incident. Fingerprints were also taken and additional evidence gathered for the case file.
