The Thailand Tourism Authority unveiled the Thai Treasures by Amazing Thailand project on September 9, 2025, at River Park in Icon Siam, running September 18–20, 2025. The initiative aims to transform Thai cultural capital—including Thai silk, gems, handicrafts, and local wisdom—into wearable contemporary fashion accessible to everyday life. It partners with the Princess Sirindhorn Foundation for Promotion of Arts and Crafts, the Thai Gems and Precious Metals Association, designer brands, emerging designers, artists, students, and Thai fabric entrepreneurs to share the value of Thai textiles, gems, and local heritage through modern design, creating income for Thai silk-producing communities and positioning Thai fashion as cool and relevant to new generations both Thai and international.
Thailand Tourism Authority Governor Thaapanee Kiatpibulsuk stated that the authority aims to promote tourism by leveraging Thai cultural capital—silk, gems, handicrafts, and local knowledge—each with distinct stories and identity by region, translated through contemporary fashion and design to align with modern lifestyles and interests, particularly of younger Thai and foreign audiences. This creates a fresh perspective on Thai quality goods and makes cultural narratives accessible to tourists in contemporary, tangible forms, reflecting Thai fashion's importance in the tourism experience.
The Thai Treasures by Amazing Thailand event runs September 18–20, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at River Park in Icon Siam, open to the public, tourists, and interested participants. The program features diverse presentations including fashion shows, exhibitions, product displays, and designs linking fashion to attractions and communities. September 18 showcases eight leading designer brands—Kloset, Janesuda, Painkiller Atelier, Rapee, Maison Wonder Anatomie, Sangboon, Thitha, and Made by Hotcake—under the concept of Thai fashion accessible every day, featuring artist Meyou with Thai silk and gems in wearable contemporary styles for work, leisure, travel, and social occasions.
September 19 presents emerging designers including Warinnaya, Marionsiam, and Clothear alongside One31 actors Pearl Sachard and Peak Phimphol, showcasing new design concepts to broad audiences. September 20 features fashion design students from Thammasat University, Silpakorn University, and Srinakharinwirot University alongside band Compass and contemporary metallophone musician Finotheranad, demonstrating emerging designers' potential through contemporary reinterpretations of cultural capital.
The exhibition Wear the Destination presents Thai silk narratives, inspiration, and identity under the concept Ten Textile Journeys Across Thailand through digital screen technology.
