The SX Food Festival 2026 opens in Bangkok from November 6–15, featuring 35 celebrity chefs and 150 restaurants showcasing sustainable cuisine. Foodies, get ready to pin this! SX Food Festival 2026 returns with a lineup of 35 famous chefs and over 150 restaurants across 166 booths serving full-flavored deliciousness. But this time it's not just about taste — it invites visitors to experience sustainable food under the concept "MELTING WORLD: The World Is Changing, So What About Our Plate?" with seven highlights exploring climate change impact through everyday food, from creative menus using leftover ingredients to waste- and plastic-reduction activities, inviting everyone to eat well while learning how to help the planet with every meal. The free-entry festival runs November 6–15, 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Thana Chanthanan, director of the SX 2026 organizing committee, revealed that the festival continues its mission to raise awareness of sustainable development under the main theme "Adapt, Accept, Change" to show consumers that global change cannot wait. Beyond presenting sustainable consumption and resource-use approaches, the event emphasizes food security education so people can apply it in daily life.
A key highlight this year is a simulated melting glacier at the exhibition center, using 25 tons of real ice daily — over 250 tons across the 10-day event — to make the impact of global warming tangible. As the ice gradually melts, the water level in the simulation rises 45 centimeters per day, accompanied by graphics showing global sea-level rise, reflecting flood risks in cities and the effects of polar ice melt on everyone. "This year's highlight is the ice mountain because we want to tell everyone that climate change is real. The changing world will make the picture clear instead of just reading about it in books, so we rethink how to eat responsibly and join together to change behavior to cope with this change," Thana said. Kitikorn Penroj, CEO of Heliconia H Group, said SX Food Festival 2026 gathers a large number of celebrity chefs and leading restaurants to deliver a delicious experience while embedding sustainable living and dining concepts to foster environmental awareness and alert consumers to future global impacts. The organizers also prioritize minimizing environmental impact by calculating greenhouse gas emissions, assessing the carbon footprint, and offsetting it entirely with carbon credits, aiming for a low-carbon or zero-carbon exhibition. "Our food festival is the biggest, gathering the most celebrity chefs and restaurants, but just eating isn't enough. We want everyone to take home sustainability knowledge and plant the collective mindset of how we can help our world endure sustainably," Kitikorn said.
