On July 20, 2025, Ms. Pranee Chumit, 55, brought her daughter Ms. Siriporn Thongsawat, 33, to speak publicly about the ongoing hardship from the Mountain B pub fire in Sattahip district, Chachoengsao province, which occurred nearly four years ago on August 5. Siriporn suffered severe burns to her face, both hands, and body, and continues to require medical treatment. She has incurred approximately 2 million baht in medical costs with no support from responsible parties or government agencies.
Pranee explained that her daughter cannot yet live a fully normal life and requires her mother's assistance with daily tasks. Since the incident, the family has received only 150,000 baht in compensation and nothing since. The case remains in court with no clear resolution in sight.
Pranee stated that the family is struggling financially, as she works alone while her daughter cannot work. They urgently need help with ongoing medical expenses, as Siriporn still requires doctor visits and additional surgery. Siriporn herself expressed her desire to work and contribute to her mother's burden, and asked government agencies and responsible parties to assist with her medical care and recovery.
