Floods Steady in Prachin Buri, Affect 40,000 Homes, Five Dead
Flooding in Prachin Buri province remains steady across seven districts, affecting more than 42,800 households and causing five deaths. Key roads such as Highway 304 near Ban Nang Leng Bridge stay closed due to strong currents and high water levels. While the Prachin Buri River level has slightly decreased, floodwaters remain waist‑ to chest‑deep in many urban areas.
The flood situation in Prachin Buri covers seven districts, 66 subdistricts, 686 villages and 39 communities, impacting 42,897 households. Five fatalities have been recorded: two in Mueang Prachin Buri (one electrocution, one drowning), two in Kabin Buri (both drowning), and one in Prachantakham (drowning). Although water levels on the first section of the Ban Nang Leng bridge have dropped below the road surface, the second bridge point still shows 70‑80 cm of water with fast, deep currents obscuring the roadside. The Prachin Buri River measures 4.51 m, down 2 cm, but municipal areas remain inundated, flooding parts of the Makro store while Robinson and HomePro outlets stay open. Authorities used ten‑wheel trucks to survey the route from Ban Nang Leng Bridge toward the Kabin Buri traffic lights to assess reopening toward Nakhon Ratchasima and Sa Kaeo.
