Forest Encroachment Probe: Land Seller, Kamnan's Husband Summoned
Police have summoned the land seller and Kamnan Boom Panadda's husband over forest encroachment on Crown land
The land seller in the forest encroachment case linked to a trail running track has appeared to give a statement following a summons, along with Kamnan Boom Panadda, the subdistrict head and caretaker, who kept her appointment. On November 2, Pol. Lt. Col. Mongkol To-Pao, superintendent of Ban Na Police Station, revealed progress in the forest encroachment case on Crown Property Bureau land belonging to Boom Panadda's husband, stating that four people have been summoned in total, with two having already met investigators. Got Athip, Boom Panadda's husband, and Mr. Kanit, the land seller named in the sale contract documents, have not yet appeared but have contacted police saying they will give statements within the next few days, claiming they are currently preparing relevant documents to explain to investigators. The female Kamnan of Sri Kaang subdistrict gave her statement on the evening of October 30 at 9:00 PM, while Boom Panadda appeared as a witness on October 31, and on November 1, the trail running track caretaker, Mr. Noom, gave his statement. Ban Na police have prepared round-the-clock staffing to receive the summoned individuals and have set a deadline of November 12. If they fail to appear, a second summons will be issued, followed by an arrest warrant if they still do not comply.
