Thai Taekwondo Team Targets Gold at Asian Club Championship in Indonesia
Thailand sends a 12-member mixed Taekwondo squad to the Asian Club Championship in Batam, Indonesia, on Nov. 11-
Following the conclusion of the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the Taekwondo Association of Thailand continues its program of sending the national team to international competitions, specifically the 14th Asian Club Taekwondo Championship scheduled for November 11-12, 2026 in Batam, Indonesia.
This Thai Taekwondo squad is a mixed team of senior and junior athletes, both male and female, totaling 12 members. The female athletes are: Petcharat Phatthanahirun, women's under 49 kg (junior); Natthamonkan Tammanit, women's under 55 kg (junior); Patcharakarn Phukek, women's under 49 kg; Chutikan Chongkularattanawat, women's under 53 kg; Piyachatrurut Chariewan, women's under 67 kg; Kanjanalak Chun-Chuenglin, women's over 73 kg; Kanjanabusakorn Phichaisongkram, women's under 51 kg (junior); and Natthakitti Maliwan, women's under 63 kg (junior).
The male athletes are: Thanaphum Fuengnoi, men's under 68 kg; Kritthayachon Phromphat, men's under 74 kg; Thanathorn Saejo, men's under 80 kg; and Jack Woody Moser, men's under 87 kg.
"Regarding our target, it is certain that for every international competition we send athletes to, we set a preliminary goal of winning one gold medal. Whether we achieve that hope depends on the athletes' readiness on competition day, as some may have injury issues before or during the event — anything can happen. The draw also matters because currently every country's skill level is very close; a small mistake can mean elimination. However, every Thai Taekwondo team strives to do their utmost to produce the best possible results," Pimol emphasized.
