Four-Year-Old's Organ Donation Saves Two Lives

From her dream of becoming a doctor to her final act of compassion, four-year-old Sanna donated her organs and saved two more lives. Although she never had the chance to become a hero in a white coat, she became an angel of life. On September 11, 2026, Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Medicine shared the story of Sanna, a four-year-old girl who dreamed of becoming a doctor but passed away before her time. Her passing was not without meaning—both of Sanna's kidneys went on to save two more lives, making her the 53rd organ donor at Maharaj Nakhon Chiang Mai Hospital. Maharaj Nakhon Chiang Mai Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine at Chiang Mai University, working with the Thai Red Cross Organ Donation Center, received her organs from the accident victim who had been diagnosed with brain death. In the midst of the family's great loss, the decision to donate transformed grief into hope. Both of the child's kidneys were transferred to patients on the transplant waiting list, giving two more lives the chance to receive treatment and continue living.
