Liverpool Brings KOP RUN Bangkok Back After 7-Year Wait
Liverpool FC is returning KOP RUN Bangkok in September 2026 after a seven-year absence, offering 5K and 10K races for 10,000 runners at Suphachalasai Stadium.
Liverpool FC is preparing to bring The Kop spirit back to Bangkok with KOP RUN Bangkok 2026, presented by Krungthai-AXA Life, in partnership with Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance and RunRio. The event will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Plaza Court, Suphachalasai Stadium (Huamark), Bangkok, ending a seven-year wait since the last edition. The race will offer two distances—5K and 10K—accommodating 10,000 runners, each receiving official LFC-licensed race kits and finisher medals as keepsakes.
KOP RUN Bangkok previously made an impact in Thailand in 2015 and 2019 before a seven-year hiatus. Liverpool FC intends for KOP RUN to serve as a bridge connecting football, fitness, and fan power, offering Thai supporters and fans across the Asia-Pacific region a chance to create a shared experience. The event is supported by Japan Airlines and club partners including Standard Chartered, EA SPORTS, UPS, EC Markets, and Haier.
A press conference was held on September 11 featuring Liverpool FC legend and former captain Sami Hyypia, Liverpool FC Women Ambassador Natasha Dowie, Sarasvadee Kupt, Chief HR Officer of Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance, Bunyaem Intonpasathan, Race Director of KOP RUN Bangkok 2026 and CEO of RunRio Thailand, and sports broadcaster Nihana-Suthita Rueangrongkhiranya. Sarasvadee Kupt stated that Krungthai-AXA Life is proud to serve as a Global Partner of Liverpool FC and Presenting Partner of the event, reflecting the company's commitment to supporting health and community alongside the spirit of "You'll Never Walk Alone."
