At 2:30 p.m. on September 28, Katu Police Station in Phuket received a report of a shooting injury at Katu Shooting Range in Katu District. Officers found the injured man identified as William Gill, 28, a French national, suffering from a critical head wound. He was immediately transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for treatment.
According to Kritsana Chantraphirom, the shooting range operator, Gill had purchased 10 rounds of ammunition and fired approximately 4 to 5 shots at targets before the incident occurred, resulting in the serious head injury.
Police are currently investigating the details of the incident and gathering evidence to determine the exact cause and proceed with further action.
