The Industrial Development Department and Delta Electronics Thailand are running the DIPROM x DELTA Angel Fund 2026 for its 11th consecutive year, distributing 5 million baht among 10 Thai startups. The programme has evolved to emphasize technology testing with real-world users, boosting commercial expansion prospects.
Out of 105 applicants this year, 30 advanced to business matching and 20 to proof-of-concept trials lasting at least 60 days with state agencies, private companies, and industry partners. The final 10 winners include Riffai, which developed an AI-powered geospatial data analysis platform from satellite imagery and received the top award of 1 million baht; Komillio, which created an AIoT dairy farm management system and received 850,000 baht; and Thai Tissue Culture International, which developed plant tissue culture solutions and received 750,000 baht. Seven other startups received the remaining funds.
Natthapon Rangsitphol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, stated that the ministry will strengthen links between entrepreneurs, industry, funding sources, and markets to enable systematic business growth. Nattiya Netsupha, Director-General of DIPROM, noted that since the partnership began, 247 entrepreneurs have received over 43.16 million baht in funding. This year emphasizes real-world trials so startups can gather market and user feedback before broader commercialization.
The 2026 programme is expected to generate over 150 million baht in economic value, comprising 5 million baht in business investment or expansion, 90 new jobs worth roughly 20 million baht, technology import reductions exceeding 30 million baht, and product and service value increases plus market channel expansion exceeding 95 million baht. Tatphong Sasammitphi, Deputy Minister of Industry, emphasized that the goal is to apply Thai entrepreneurs' technology to real-world problems, boost productivity, and create value for industry. Victor Cheng, Executive Chairman of Delta Electronics Thailand, confirmed the company will continue supporting Thai startups and host the final Pitching Day round.
