Sudaratana Geyuraphan led a volunteer team to assist flood victims in eastern Bangkok's Saphan Sai, Bang Kapi, and Bung Kum districts on September 28, stressing the urgent need to deploy pumps to drain water from low-lying basin areas. Hundreds of villages and communities in the eastern zone, especially older subdivisions and canal-side settlements, have been waterlogged for four days despite main roads drying out. Beyond immediate relief such as food and water, residents most urgently need pumping equipment to clear water from their neighborhoods and communities. Sudaratana called on Bangkok authorities to survey villages and communities along side sois, particularly older subdivisions and canal-side areas, to deploy pumps and provide livelihood support, as these zones will remain flooded for some time even after rain stops. Areas such as Khlong Chan Flats, Ramkamhaeng Housing, and Rama Intra Housing are examples of prolonged flooding zones. She also stressed the need to address vehicle and motorcycle damage, noting that current government and city regulations do not fully cover flood-damaged vehicles. Most low-income vehicle owners lack insurance and require government and city support.
