EGCO Group has announced the successful closure of a deal to acquire a 49% stake in the Pinnacle IV renewable energy power plant group with a combined capacity of 339 megawatts in the United States. Chief Executive Officer Thawatchai Samranvanich stated that the company will recognize cash flow and profit share immediately, reflecting aggressive capital allocation discipline aimed at continuously expanding its green energy portfolio both domestically and internationally.
The investment is structured through EGCO Pinnacle IV, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EGCO, with the share transfer agreement completed on September 25, 2025, in partnership with global project developer Apex Clean Energy Holdings, LLC, which retains a 51% stake. The Pinnacle IV group comprises the Timbermill Wind Farm with a capacity of 189 megawatts in North Carolina and the Coldwater Solar Farm with a capacity of 150 megawatts in Michigan.
The transaction demonstrates three key strategic advantages: immediate revenue recognition from commercially operational assets with zero development risk, positioning in two of the largest clean electricity markets in the United States (PJM and MISO) in high-demand states with stable infrastructure, and secured cash flow through long-term power purchase agreements with investment-grade counterparties. The deal strengthens EGCO's renewable energy portfolio, which now totals 1,785 megawatts, representing 26% of its total generation capacity.
Thawatchai emphasized that EGCO will continue to accelerate its clean energy portfolio expansion through both domestic renewable energy projects and international asset growth, particularly in the United States, which serves as the company's second strategic base. The company remains committed to pursuing its POWER4 strategy with a focus on profitability and performance, selecting high-quality renewable energy assets to drive balanced growth and enhance long-term profit stability while advancing its commitment to becoming a gold-standard low-carbon organization.
