SME Fund Injects 20 Million Baht Into Three Development Programs
The State Enterprise Fund for SME Development will distribute 20 million baht across three programs to strengthen 400 businesses and 1,000 entrepreneurs, targeting 209.56 million baht in total economic value creation over six months.
Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and chair of the State Enterprise Fund for SME Development according to the Royal Benefit approach, announced that in fiscal year 2569 the Comptroller General's Department approved a 20 million baht budget for SME promotion and development projects. The initiative aims to strengthen the capabilities and potential of 400 businesses and 1,000 entrepreneurs. The fund targets creating total economic value of 209.56 million baht, or 10.48 times the budget received.
The development strategy is based on a survey of entrepreneur needs conducted in fiscal year 2568, which found that SMEs most want marketing development (33.33%), followed by finance (23.28%), manufacturing technology and innovation (18.52%), standards (17.46%), logistics (5.82%), and environment (1.59%). The fund designed three core programs covering financial strengthening, productivity enhancement, and market expansion preparation.
The first program, Financial Shield, provides 5.86 million baht over six months to 100 businesses and 400 entrepreneurs at all levels. It focuses on financial diagnosis, debt resolution, financial training, and online credit document preparation clinics, targeting 48 million baht in economic value creation, or 8.19 times the budget.
The second program, Productivity Accelerator, allocates 8.8 million baht over six months to 200 businesses and 400 entrepreneurs. It aims to boost productivity through process management consulting using digital technology, innovation, and environmental approaches, plus in-house training. The program targets an 80% success rate with productivity gains of at least 10%, expecting to generate 92.32 million baht in economic value, or 10.49 times the budget.
The third program, Global and Future Readiness, provides 5.34 million baht over six months to 100 small and medium businesses and 200 entrepreneurs seeking to expand markets and meet international standards. It includes training on foreign market analysis, export regulations, ESG practices, consulting services, and one business-matching event with domestic and international partners, projecting 69.24 million baht in economic value, or 12.97 times the budget.
The fund continues supporting businesses through various credit programs. The Tiger Wings business capability credit program round 2 received 60.55 million baht in applications from 5 businesses, with 142.154 million baht approved for 13 businesses. The Stable Business liquidity credit program round 2 received 17 million baht in applications from 5 businesses, with 4.70 million baht approved for 4 businesses. The TOP UP supplementary capital credit program has approved 1,031 cases totaling 1,492.61 million baht, with 1,016 cases disbursed totaling 1,473.19 million baht.
