Man Shot Dead on Motorcycle in Phuket

A 32-year-old cement truck driver from Nakhon Si Thammarat was shot and killed near Thaep Kasatri Road in Phuket's Thalang district on September 17. Officers from Thalang Police Station responded to reports of a motorcycle crash and found the man unconscious and pulseless on the roadside, with a gunshot wound to the right temple. A .30 special bullet casing was found at the scene.
Paramedics attempted CPR but the man was already dead. A forensic doctor and pathologist examined the body and confirmed a single gunshot wound to the right temple as the cause of death. Initial witness statements indicate the victim and another person had parked their motorcycles when they heard a gunshot, and the victim collapsed onto his bike.
The victim worked as a driver for a concrete company and was heading home from work around 19:44 when the incident occurred. Police are investigating whether the gunman followed him on a motorcycle and are reviewing nearby CCTV cameras to identify the shooter and determine if others were involved. The case is being handled according to law.
