Royal Thai Police Sets Year 69 Promotions Deadline
Thai police have announced year 69 annual promotions running from October through November, with officers also able to request transfers during a 30-day window following seniority list announcements.
The Royal Thai Police announced that Chaipatjohn Suanraksa, commander of the Office of the Force Secretariat, has signed a memorandum dated September 10, 2569 regarding police officer promotions. The memo directs all commanders, deputy commanders, and equivalent rank holders within the national police structure to prepare for year 69 annual promotions. Promotions from deputy commander down to corporal rank must begin on October 1, 2569 and be finalized by November 30, 2569 in compliance with the Police Officer Appointment Regulations of 2567. Units outside the main police office must prepare seniority lists from inspector down to junior corporal level, with the list to be announced on September 16, 2569. Officers wishing to request transfers or reassignments must submit applications within 30 days of the seniority announcement through their chain of command. The memo emphasizes that transfer requests are voluntary and do not bind authorities to act on them; government interests and unit manpower requirements take priority. Officers may withdraw or change their requests in writing through proper channels to avoid duplicate records.
