Teen Gang Beats 16-Year-Old, Threatens Victim With Police Father

A video circulating online shows a group of older teenage girls attacking a 16-year-old girl at a limestone area near Nam River at Chaloem Kwan Girls School in Muang District, Phitsanulok Province on September 11. In the footage, the older girls punch, kick, and strike the victim's face repeatedly while a gang member assists in the assault. Even as the victim raises her hands in surrender, the attack continues. One attacker threatens the girl, saying "You can report this all you want—my father is a police officer."

After the video was shared widely online, the victim's mother and the 16-year-old filed a complaint with Muang Phitsanulok Police. The mother explained that after seeing the video the night before, she and her husband were shocked. She learned that the attacker, identified as a 23-year-old woman named Noi, had contacted her daughter to visit the police station to file a report. The attacker claimed the incident was from an old video dating back to April. The mother stated that her daughter later revealed she had been threatened and coerced into filing a false reconciliation statement with police.

The mother expressed deep concern, saying her daughter was brutally assaulted and then forced to lie to police, while the attacker boasted about having a police officer father without fear of consequences. She worried justice would not be served and appealed to the media for help. Police Major Watcharapong Sitthirung, deputy commander of Muang Phitsanulok Police Station, confirmed that the investigation would be fair and impartial regardless of the suspect's claims about her father. He ordered an investigation into all members of the teenage gang and the person who recorded the video. The victim will undergo a medical examination at the hospital, and police will conduct a detailed multi-disciplinary interview since the victim is a minor.
