Government Launches Cabinet Talk Show Starting September 5
Thailand's government launches a new weekly talk show starting September 5 featuring cabinet ministers explaining policies directly to the public, with the inaugural episode focusing on civil service reform.
The government spokesman has invited the public to watch the inaugural episode of "Chatting with PM Anuthim's Cabinet," which features Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapart discussing civil service reform. Government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek announced at Government House on September 4 that the program will feature cabinet ministers responsible for policy areas coming to discuss and explain government direction, work, and policy rationale so citizens can understand what the government is doing, its goals, and the benefits to the public.
The program will address issues of public interest in a straightforward manner, including policy reasoning, implementation across sectors, and answers to public questions and concerns. Ratchada stated that the government aims to create better communication channels allowing citizens to access information directly from policymakers and those responsible for implementation. Beyond simply knowing what policies are, it is important that citizens understand the reasoning, goals, and expected outcomes of government actions so that all questions receive answers.
Citizens can watch "Chatting with PM Anuthim's Cabinet" every Saturday at 9:05 a.m. on NBT, MCOT HD, Channel 5, and online platforms including the Public Relations Department, NBT Connext, and Thai Sky Blue. The first episode will air on September 5, featuring Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapart discussing civil service reform—transforming the bureaucracy from a complex system into an agile, accessible public service.
