TCEB Revamps Government PR With Viral Memes to Boost E-Learning
Thailand's Convention and Exhibition Bureau is using memes and viral content to promote e-Learning courses for MICE industry professionals, with the platform reaching 17,550 users and issuing over 20,000 certificates since launch.
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is creating a new phenomenon in government organization communication by using memes and viral trends to promote its e-Learning curriculum to young, innovative audiences and advance Thailand's MICE industry into the future. This shift in communication strategy aligns with the core vision of driving Thailand toward becoming Global–Asia's Trusted Gateway, a growth platform that tangibly connects the world with Asia. Being a world-class destination depends not just on venues but on the quality and professionalism of personnel across all phases of event management—before, during, and after. This modernized public relations approach reflects measurable success through the e-Learning platform's six-year trajectory. As of August 2024, the platform had surged to 17,550 total users, with 4,239 new registrations representing a 31.85% monthly growth rate, while accumulating 20,378 e-Certificates issued, including 7,293 new certificates that month. These achievements demonstrate that engaging, accessible, and creative content can deliver real economic results and workforce upskilling through 29 future-focused curricula addressing market demand—including MICE Storytelling, competing with AI, building festival brands that attract visitors, and sustainable event management. TCEB is committed to continuously upgrading Thai MICE professionals' capabilities.
