Sarphi Hospital in Chiang Mai has released a detailed timeline following a social media controversy over an emergency patient's treatment. A Facebook user posted a video criticizing the hospital after bringing their father, a kidney disease patient experiencing fainting, seizures, foaming at the mouth, and sudden loss of consciousness, to the emergency room. When they arrived at the ambulance bay, the family said staff did not immediately begin treatment, causing them to call for help in distress. The family ultimately decided to transfer the patient to Nakhon Ping Hospital on their own. On August 3, Sarphi Hospital issued a statement with a precise timeline: at 9:47:17 a.m., the ambulance arrived and a relative notified staff at the emergency screening point; at 9:47:50 a.m., a nurse arrived at the vehicle to assess the patient; at 9:48:00 a.m., the nurse called an orderly for assistance; at 9:48:50 a.m., the orderly arrived with a stretcher; and at 9:49:10 a.m., the family drove the patient away from the hospital. The hospital expressed regret for the distress caused and said it would review its communication and service protocols to provide clearer information and continuous care to patients.
