By 10 p.m., firefighters had gained partial control, and evacuation efforts were underway as many tourists fled the building, some suffering from smoke inhalation. By 10:10 p.m., the fire had spread down to the guest room levels, and firefighting efforts continued. At 10:45 p.m., firefighters successfully brought the fire under control. Three foreign nationals were injured in the incident—two women and one man—and have been transported to a hospital.
