Kape Panwa Phuket Unveils Luxurious Panwa Lodge Renovation
Kape Panwa Phuket has renovated its Panwa Lodge into a Tropical Colonial style beachfront residence with a private pool, aiming to attract premium luxury travelers. The upgrade, part of a chain‑wide refurbishment started in late 2025, also includes new rooms and restaurants such as the Mediterranean‑style Top of the Reef. The project emphasizes privacy, exclusivity, and locally sourced design elements.
Thiravalkun Pangsiwong, business owner and project development manager for Kape & Cantaree Hotels, explained that Panwa Lodge is a beachfront residence with spacious interiors that can be configured into three bedrooms, while communal areas such as the living room, dining area, and bar counter are proportionally laid out to evoke a genuine private seaside home. He noted a large private swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery, plus ample space for lounging and sunbathing, suitable for poolside parties. The Tropical Colonial design draws inspiration from the historic Baan Wanwa House, a Sino‑Portuguese mansion, using olive green and earth tones as the primary palette, with simple, warm décor accented by tropical flora and vibrant colors. Original antique pieces—four‑poster wooden beds, tables, and classic cabinets—are retained and blended with tropical‑style furnishings such as rattan‑upholstered chairs, bar units, lamps, and various decorative items, all carefully selected and arranged to create harmony and vitality, with priority given to locally sourced products. Panwa Lodge spans 321 square meters, comprising 160 square meters of indoor space and a 37.6‑square‑meter outdoor pool set amid serene natural surroundings. Upon entering, guests find a spacious living hall featuring two bedrooms with en‑suite bathrooms on the right wing, while the opposite side houses a large dining area with a bar counter; the rear area is arranged as a lounge that can be converted into a sofa bed for additional sleeping space.
