The inaugural Khongsittha Fight amateur Thai and international boxing tournament took place at Khongsittha Muay Thai Gym on August 22, hosting 28 bouts featuring both Thai and international fighters. Gym owner Matthew Dean said the event was organized to allow amateur boxers training in Thai and international boxing to test themselves in competition. It was their first event of this kind, prepared over a considerable period, and response exceeded expectations with many registrations received shortly after sign-up opened. The tournament drew boxers from multiple countries including Taiwan, Myanmar, Scotland, China, Vietnam, Singapore, and France. Despite the competitive nature, the event was filled with friendship and camaraderie, attracting enthusiastic spectators of all ages and nationalities from both Thailand and abroad, marking a successful first outing.
Dean announced that future Khongsittha Fight tournaments will be held with improvements including more bouts and better-matched pairings. He invited interested amateur boxers to register and welcomed proposals for organizing Thai boxing, amateur international boxing, and professional international boxing competitions. The event was also livestreamed through Khongsittha Muay Thai Gym's social media channels on Facebook and YouTube for those unable to attend in person.
