Kla Tham Party Delays No-Confidence Decision, Rejects Deal Claims
Kla Tham Party spokesperson Athakorn Sirilatthayakorn said the party has not yet decided how to vote in the no-confidence motion against 18 ministers and will hold internal talks first. He denied any political deal with the Bhumjaithai Party and stated he has not consulted with other party leaders. The party must reach a decision before the final voting day.
At 5:10 p.m. on October 21, 2026, at Parliament, Chachoengsao MP Athakorn Sirilatthayakorn, also the Kla Tham Party spokesperson, addressed the party's stance on the no-confidence vote targeting 18 ministers. He said the party will use its rights as appropriate but stressed that no internal meeting has taken place yet. When asked about speculation that Kla Tham might align with Bhumjaithai after the debate, Athakorn declined to answer. On whether the party would vote confidence in the government, he said discussions must happen first per party tradition. Regarding party leader Thammanas Promphao's position, Athakorn said they have not spoken at all. He firmly denied any deal with Bhumjaithai, saying he has rarely spoken with other party leaders. Asked about a potential alliance after the vote, Athakorn said he would need to consult others first and could not answer on behalf of the party executive committee. He noted the party meets regularly but must decide before the final voting day, with meetings possible either at Parliament or party headquarters.
