Korat Man Found Dead with Bruises in Samut Prakan
Police in Samut Prakan are investigating the death of a 41‑year‑old man from Nakhon Ratchasima whose body was found bruised in a construction site accommodation. Forensic teams have collected DNA and blood samples as they work to determine whether the injuries were inflicted or resulted from another cause. The case remains pending autopsy results.
On October 15, 2069 (which corresponds to 2026 in the Gregorian calendar), Police Colonel Phairoch Phetphol of Bang Phli Police Station led a team of investigators, detectives, Samut Prakan forensic officers, forensic doctors from Ramathibodi Hospital, Poh Tek Tung rescue volunteers, and local village heads to examine the body of Kraison, a 41‑year‑old migrant worker from Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima district. He was found dead inside a building under construction in Tambon Bang Chong, Bang Phli district, with no obvious cause of death.
Examination revealed multiple bruises across his face and body, especially around both eyes, a swollen and discolored lip, and bloodstains on his forearms and palms. Forensic officers collected fingerprints, DNA, and blood samples from the victim’s arms and hands for laboratory analysis.
Workers at the site said Kraison had been staying and working there for four to five days. They had not noticed any facial injuries earlier and heard him snoring in the morning, assuming he was sleeping. Around 10:00 a.m., they found him motionless for an unusually long time and called coworkers to check. Witnesses said he had been seen walking around the camp and riding a bicycle to nearby places, but no one observed any serious abnormality. They confirmed he drank alcohol regularly and could become mildly loud when intoxicated, but there were no known fights or conflicts in the camp before his death.
Authorities have collected DNA from all workers at the camp to search for any evidence linking the death to a possible crime, while awaiting the full forensic report to clarify the cause of Kraison’s injuries and death.
