Krung Thai Electric Leads Forest Revisit for Scholars and Staff
Krung Thai Electric’s scholarship program brought together current scholars, alumni, and staff for a One Day Trip to Samut Songkhram’s Mangrove Nature School on September 13, 2026. Participants kayaked the Bang Bon canal to review the 50,000 mangrove trees planted since 2017, now serving as a coastal barrier and fish nursery. The afternoon featured an art‑therapy workshop aimed at alleviating burnout and strengthening inner resilience.
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Krung Thai Electric’s scholarship program organized its annual One Day Trip under the theme “Our Growing Footprint: Following the Forest to New Sustainable Seeds” at the Mangrove Nature School in Samut Songkhram Province. The aim was to bring scholarship students, alumni, and affiliated staff back to observe the tangible outcomes of the 50,000 mangrove trees they had collectively planted since 2017, after achieving the program’s target, while also opening a space to connect ecosystem learning with inner‑heart renewal.
The morning session began with the External Footprint activity (following the outside – sustainable forest), during which participants kayaked along the Bang Bon canal to study its ecosystem. They retraced the success of the “Return Soil, Return Forest, Preserve Mangrove” project, starting from the installation of bamboo barriers to slow waves and restore sediments, leading to the joint planting of 50,000 mangrove trees. Today those trees form a natural bulwark that shields the coastline from erosion and serves as a nursery for young aquatic organisms that support local livelihoods in a sustainable way. Beyond reinforcing pride and unity, the activity strengthened relationships among the participants as co‑creators.
The afternoon continued with the Internal Footprint activity (following the inside – the heart we care for), featuring an art‑therapy workshop titled “Adding Fire to a Burned‑Out Heart.” Using art‑therapy processes, attendees explored their inner states, relieved work‑ and study‑related fatigue, and exchanged views and life experiences among scholarship students, alumni, and company staff. The workshop aimed to mold everyone into “new seeds” with strong mental foundations, positive attitudes, and readiness to contribute benefits back to society together.
