Police Arrest Suspect in Child Sexual Abuse Material Case
Police arrested a 28-year-old woman in Saraburi Province for producing and selling child sexual abuse material through a private messaging app, with financial records showing 134 paid memberships since December 2025.
On September 25, 2026, officers from Royal Thai Police Division 4, acting under orders from Senior Police Colonel Withaya Sripraseritphap, apprehended a 28-year-old transgender woman identified as Mongkol (surname withheld) at her residence in Huai Haeng Subdistrict, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province.
The case began when police received a tip from the LIFT by Hagar organization reporting that an online platform contained explicit images and videos of child sexual abuse for commercial purposes. The suspect was soliciting transfers of 300 baht to a bank account to grant access to a private messaging application where viewers could see full-length videos.
Police planted an undercover officer who joined the secret group, discovering numerous videos of child sexual exploitation. The investigation identified linked accounts, and officers used distinctive identifying marks visible in the videos to confirm the victim was a 16-year-old boy.
Financial records from December 2025 to June 2026 showed 134 membership transfers totaling approximately 40,000 baht. Officers obtained a court warrant and arrested the suspect, seizing a mobile phone used to record and post the abuse material.
During questioning, the suspect confessed. She was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material for sexual gratification or commercial purposes, production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and computer crimes related to uploading such content accessible to the public. The case has been referred for prosecution.
