Police Arrest Two Men for Producing Child Porn of 17-Year-Old
Udon Thani police arrested two men after a two‑year undercover operation infiltrated a VIP online group that sold child pornography videos of a 17‑year‑old girl. The suspects produced and distributed the clips via Telegram and X, charging members 999 baht for access. Both have been charged with child sexual abuse offenses, with additional human‑trafficking charges under consideration.
On 9 October 2026, Udon Thani Governor Chaiwat Chuenkosum, together with Provincial Police Commander Pratthamot Simluang and other officials, directed the Udon Thani police investigation unit and Region 4 Investigation Division 1 to carry out a search and arrest operation targeting a network that produced and distributed child sexual abuse material. The operation followed a two‑year undercover monitoring of a VIP group on Telegram and X, where members paid 999 baht for access to explicit videos featuring a 17‑year‑old girl. Police arrested Thanakorn (surname withheld), 25, and Aiwil (surname withheld), 28. A search of Thanakorn’s home in Nong Han district revealed his mobile phone held numerous images and videos classified as child sexual abuse material, including the clip with the minor. Further investigation showed Thanakorn and the girl had met through another Telegram group administered by Aiwil. A raid on Aiwil’s residence in Nong Wua So district uncovered the same clip on his phone, and he admitted appearing with the girl in the video. He was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material for sexual exploitation. Authorities are also reviewing financial records and additional evidence after discovering membership fees were charged for access to the group’s content. Initial charges against Thanakorn include possession, production, and distribution of child sexual abuse material, as well as computer‑crime offenses for obscene computer data. Police are gathering further evidence to consider adding human‑trafficking charges against Thanakorn if warranted. Both suspects have been transferred to the Mueang Udon Thani Police Station for prosecution, and investigators continue to expand the inquiry to identify other members, the broader network, and anyone linked to the secret group.
