On September 18, 2026, at Lan Sak Police Station in Uthai Thani Province, a 49-year-old woman and her 20-year-old autistic daughter presented photographic evidence to investigators in a complaint against a sub-district administrator over sexual abuse and rape that began when the girl was in sixth grade and continued until she became pregnant.
The mother explained that she worked in Bangkok while her daughter lived with her grandmother in Lan Sak District. When her daughter was in sixth grade, she hired the administrator—then a village headman—to help transport the girl to and from school. By age 15, her daughter became pregnant. When questioned, the daughter disclosed she had been raped. The mother then arranged to meet with the accused, and they agreed on compensation of 30,000 baht and 2 rai of land, reduced from an initial claim of 150,000 baht, on condition he cease contact with her daughter.
After the baby was born, the mother cared for her daughter in Bangkok for two years before she returned to live with her grandmother in Lan Sak, believing the matter was resolved. However, when the accused learned she had returned, he approached her again, offering sweets and money before sexually assaulting her once more.
The mother stated that when she contacted him to inquire, she received threats involving firearms and claims of police connections, causing the family to fear for their safety. She then traveled from Bangkok to file the report, bringing her daughter for a medical examination as evidence.
The daughter recounted that the first incident occurred in sixth grade in a cassava field on her way home from school, and she identified the accused and his official position clearly.
Investigators have received the complaint and evidence for examination and will question those involved, gather witness statements and evidence, and review medical examination results before proceeding with legal action.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old sub-district administrator met with investigators and disclosed he knew the woman since childhood, acknowledged a relationship with her, but insisted it was consensual, not rape, when she was 15–16 years old. He denied threatening the family, claiming he only wanted them to stop contacting others about the matter.
Police stated that investigators have preliminarily filed charges of raping a girl under 15 years old and sought a court warrant for detention to proceed according to legal procedures.
