Man Shot Seven Times Found Dead in Yala
A 29-year-old man was found shot seven times on a hillside in Yala's Mueang District on September 5. Police are investigating the motive and searching for the shooter.
At 09:45 on September 5, the Lampaya Rescue and Emergency Center received a report from the village headman of Moo 4, Lampaya Subdistrict, Mueang District, Yala Province, of a male body found on a hillside at Baan Koh Sa, Moo 6, Lampaya Subdistrict, Mueang District. Officers immediately responded to the scene.
The body of Chaiyathawat, a 29-year-old local resident of Lampaya Subdistrict, Mueang District, Yala Province, was found lying on its side near a path leading to a local fruit orchard. Preliminary examination revealed seven gunshot wounds from an unidentified firearm. The victim is estimated to have been dead for at least seven hours.
Police and related agencies cordoned off the area to collect evidence meticulously. The motive for the killing and the identity of the perpetrator remain under urgent investigation.
