Brother Severs Brother's Arm With Machete in Family Dispute
A man severed his brother's arm with a machete during a family dispute in Phetchaburi Province on September 5, with the attacker voluntarily surrendering to police.
Police received a report at 7:00 p.m. on September 5, 2025, of a serious assault and violent quarrel outside a residential building in Moo 8, Thung Pho, Kladluang Subdistrict, Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi Province. Relatives and neighbors immediately aided the injured person and transported him to Tha Yang Hospital for urgent medical care.
Investigators determined that brothers Thawatchai and Chaiwat had been arguing outside the residence when the dispute turned violent. Thawatchai wielded a military-style spade measuring approximately 27 inches and violently attacked Chaiwat's left arm, severing it nearly completely.
After the incident, Thawatchai voluntarily surrendered to investigators at Tha Mai Ruk Police Station. He was informed of the charges and entered the legal process. Police are currently gathering evidence and witness statements while investigating the circumstances and sequence of events to proceed with appropriate legal action.
