On September 26, 2025, Mueang Phetchburi Police received a report of a quarrel resulting in a gunshot injury at Soi 4 Bandan Brick, Khlong Krachaeng Subdistrict, Mueang District. Officers found a 23-year-old male victim shot in the shoulder with a homemade firearm and transferred him first to Mahachai Phetchburi Hospital, then to Phra Chom Klao Phetchburi Hospital. The suspect, identified as Voravit (surname withheld), 23, was arrested along with the weapon. Investigation revealed he had argued with his 26-year-old brother over a verbal dispute that escalated to fighting. While police were breaking up the altercation, the suspect drew his concealed homemade pistol and fired at his brother, intending to harm him, but the shot missed and struck an innocent motorcyclist passing by, who was unaware of the situation. Police initially detained both brothers and the firearm before transferring them for further questioning. Formal charges are pending.
