True Corporation has escalated emergency measures to protect its nationwide communications infrastructure in response to heavy rain and flooding affecting multiple areas including Bangkok, surrounding provinces, and regions across Thailand. Field engineering teams have been deployed to high-risk areas to install flood barriers around main and secondary network hubs, monitor vulnerable zones in real time via CCTV cameras, and establish regional emergency operations centers and satellite command posts to rapidly respond to situations and distribute personnel and equipment, particularly in flood-affected areas where access is limited.
True's engineering teams are monitoring water levels closely and assessing risks to base stations and network hubs, installing flood barrier systems to protect main and secondary communication hubs in vulnerable areas. Special attention is being given to base stations near rivers, canals, low-lying areas, and historically flood-prone zones. The company has installed flood barriers around communication hubs and elevated water-level monitoring across high-risk main and secondary hubs and base stations nationwide.
To address access challenges caused by flooding, True has reorganized field teams into zone-specific units led by network engineers and established regional operations centers and emergency signal management facilities to enable faster decision-making and resource deployment while maintaining 24-hour network coverage. Field engineers work with True's Business Network Intelligence Center, which monitors network status nationwide around the clock using base station data, weather information, and local conditions to assess monitoring priorities and deploy teams accordingly.
True has also prepared backup power systems and fuel supplies for base stations and network equipment, with generators, batteries, backup power systems, and fuel reserves positioned in vulnerable areas and transportation routes established for continuous fuel delivery as needed. The company is also preparing mobile cell-site units and vehicles to support ongoing operations.
