A shocking incident unfolded at Phitsanulok Railway Station when a 31-year-old man, identified as Akkadet, fell beneath a moving train after placing his belongings on a chair and running toward the tracks as the Express Train No. 112 departed at 10:43 a.m. bound for Bang Kratom Station. Station staff immediately signaled the train to stop and rushed to assist. The man was found face-down trapped under the train near passenger car 3, dressed in a brown shirt and long pants, suffering severe injuries including a severed hand and fractured skull, though still conscious. Emergency responders from the Prasat Bun Foundation and Buddhachinaraj Hospital quickly provided first aid and transported him urgently to the hospital.
CCTV footage revealed that the man had walked from the north side onto platform 2 just after the last passenger boarded and staff gave the signal to depart. He appeared to fall deliberately into the tracks at the exact moment the train began moving. A betel leaf vendor at the station reported seeing the tall, middle-aged man that morning inquiring about relic rentals and discussing prices, but observed nothing unusual in his behavior or demeanor. Preliminary investigation found no ticket purchase on record. The train resumed its journey after a 30-minute delay.
