Kanchanaburi Governor Viratsda Songwansermsri announced on September 8 that Kanchanaburi is one of the provinces requiring close monitoring for flash floods, flash flooding, and waterlogging between September 8-13, following meteorological weather warnings. To prepare for the natural disaster, the governor has issued directives to district and local disaster prevention coordination centers and related agencies to closely monitor and assist residents by tracking official weather information, particularly in areas at risk of heavy cumulative rainfall, and coordinating personnel, materials, equipment, and machinery from local agencies including the military, police, irrigation department, and volunteer organizations on 24-hour standby.
For natural tourism attractions such as caves, waterfalls, and tunnel caves within Kanchanaburi province, particularly in national parks, areas showing risk must be immediately warned and cordoned off with strict entry bans.
