Cabinet Approves Prodpran Sammanmit as New Sports Authority Director

The Cabinet has approved Prodpran Sammanmit to serve as director of the Thai Sports Authority, effective October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029. The announcement was made at 12:30 p.m. on September 8, 2026 at Government House by Deputy Prime Minister's Spokesperson Lalida Perischvivat following the Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to appoint Prodpran Sammanmit to the position of Thai Sports Authority director. The appointment follows a resolution by the Thai Sports Authority committee and takes effect from October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029.
