On August 6, 2569, TikTok user @munjaainun posted a warning after being secretly filmed while using the men's restroom on the first floor of a shopping mall in the Siam area on August 5 at approximately 7:30 p.m. While using a toilet stall, the alert user noticed an orange smartphone protruding from the top of an adjacent stall in what appeared to be a filming position. He immediately knocked on the divider and shouted, then waited outside. When the man exited, the victim grabbed his shirt collar and demanded the video be deleted immediately. The suspect apologized and agreed to delete it, but as the victim was still adjusting his clothing, the man suddenly ran away.
After the incident, the victim filed a police report and worked with the mall to review CCTV footage. He decided to share his story not for sympathy but to warn the public that men's restrooms are not always safe spaces as commonly assumed. He urges everyone to remain vigilant when using public restrooms by observing the tops and gaps of stall dividers, and to seek immediate help from nearby people or staff if anything suspicious is noticed.
The victim is calling on anyone with information about the suspect or who was in the area at that time to report it to police. He emphasizes that such incidents should not be ignored or allowed to continue, as victims do not know what the perpetrator will do with the recorded footage in the future. He also appeals to others who have experienced similar violations to take action and report offenders rather than remain silent, as inaction allows predators to harm more people.
