The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts continued heavy rainfall in parts of Thailand over the next 24 hours, caused by a monsoon trough moving through the upper northern region and merging with a low-pressure system over northern Vietnam and Laos, combined with a strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
