Military vocational students have adapted a third-year engineering student invention to help transport residents affected by severe flooding in Bangkok. The Royal Thai Armed Forces Vocational School deployed the innovation to assist people impacted by the flooding, using it to shuttle residents in the Phahon Yothin Soi 30 area and ease travel disruptions caused by floodwaters. The project demonstrates the practical application of engineering knowledge and skills from classroom and field training to real-world emergency situations, aimed at reducing transportation barriers for flood-affected residents. Beyond providing relief, the initiative shows how student knowledge and work from the vocational school can be adapted for social benefit, giving students hands-on experience using their technical training to assist the public.
