Friend riding behind was shocked as the young motorcyclist lost control and crashed into a street lamp, hitting his head and dying on the road. He said they were only a short distance from their lodging. At 3:00 a.m. on October 15, 2026, police from Nikhom Phatthana Station received a report of a motorcycle colliding with a street lamp on Road 13 between Soi 4 and Soi 5 in Nikhom Phatthana district, Rayong province, and rushed to the scene with Siam Rayong rescue volunteers. At the roadside, they found the male victim, about 30 years old, lying dead beside the lamp post with severe head injuries. A short distance away lay his overturned red motorcycle, its left handlebar damaged, and his helmet detached on the ground. The friend told investigators that they had been returning from an outing on separate motorcycles, with the victim leading. Only about two kilometers remained to their accommodation when the victim’s high speed, combined with an uneven road surface, caused him to lose control, veer off the shoulder and crash into the lamp post. The impact threw his helmet and caused fatal head trauma, killing him instantly. Police photographed the scene and took a detailed statement from the friend for further legal action.
