NAMA Buffet Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary With Special Deals

NAMA Japanese and Seafood Buffet on the 24th floor of Centara Grand at CentralWorld has now celebrated two years in business. As part of The Food Selection group—alongside successful sister brands like Shinkanzen Sushi, Katsu Midori, and Hot Pot Hunter—NAMA continues to thrive under founders Ming-Suphonat Satjaratna and Charp-Chanwee Homtoy, who partnered with Central Restaurants Group.

NAMA stands out as a Japanese seafood buffet emphasizing ultra-fresh ingredients and exclusive, hard-to-find premium menu items including beef tongue, uni, and various grades of toro. When the restaurant first opened, it created buzz with self-serve ikura (salmon roe), a feature no other buffet offered at such a generous scale, given the steep ingredient costs. Premium-grade selections typically sell for 2,000-3,000 baht elsewhere, yet NAMA's starting course runs at 999++ baht (1,176 baht net).

The seafood station, featuring unlimited ikura, boasts impressive selections: jumbo Japanese sweet shrimp, Korean scallops, squid sashimi, and soy-marinated salmon for building elaborate donburi bowls. The offerings went viral on social media, creating booking queues that extend months ahead and remain fully booked. Popular items among reviewers include hot crab miso, buttery foie gras, grilled river shrimp, wagyu with shiso leaves, and steamed crab egg custard.

Co-founder Charp, pleased with NAMA's success, launched a two-year anniversary celebration campaign. First, a collaboration with QFresh brand featuring special dishes by chefs Jemmy James and Chef Nok, plus a special uni set. Second, guests receive complimentary Molto brand ice cream. Third, the 199++ baht "Nomihodai" package offers unlimited beverages including beer, sake, and craft highballs.
