Interior Ministry Pushes Ethics and Integrity Plan Under Premier Anutin
Thailand's Interior Ministry is strengthening its ethics and governance framework for 2025-2026, emphasizing integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption measures across its operations under the leadership of Permanent Secretary Artsit Samp
The Interior Ministry held a meeting to review progress on its 2025 ethics and conduct plan and outline new guidelines for promoting integrity and good governance across the permanent secretary's office for 2026. Permanent Secretary Artsit Samphantharat, currently on official business abroad, conveyed his vision and directed the ministry to prioritize and strictly observe principles of ethics, conduct, and good governance. He emphasized that creating an honest Interior Ministry means helping all officials understand the true value of integrity and courage to do what is right, supported by leadership as role models, systems as protective shields, and public oversight as monitors. This approach teaches people to distinguish between personal and public interest. The ministry is implementing Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's open government policy, emphasizing transparency, accountability, public participation, building anti-corruption awareness and values, and enforcing a no-gift policy to prevent conflicts of interest across all operations.
