September 24, 2026 — The National Water Resources Office and Thai Meteorological Department issued a warning for Sa Kaew province as one of the areas at risk of flash flooding and riverbank overflow. Continuous heavy rain across multiple locations has caused floodwaters to spread widely, creating hardship for residents, especially in Aranyaprathet district. Water levels in Promhat Canal have surged, overflowing into homes. Sensors at Wat Koh Bridge have sounded alarms throughout the night, alarming residents living along the canal.
Troops from the Eastern Army Region and 19th Infantry Division, via Aranyaprathet District Command, responded to a request from Jiraphon Madue, headman of Moo 9, Charoen Suk village, Fak Huai subdistrict, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaew province, for assistance. Forces were dispatched to help residents move belongings to higher ground to prevent damage from overflowing water. Personnel remain on alert to monitor water levels closely and stand ready to assist residents immediately upon request.
