Thailand Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Warning Across Multiple Regions
Thailand's Meteorological Department issued a heavy rain warning for September 24, with high-risk areas across the northeast, central, and eastern regions including Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
At 10 a.m. on September 24, 2025, the Thai Meteorological Department reported high-risk areas on alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 24, 2025 (update as of 10 a.m.). Heavy rain is expected in many areas across the lower northern, northeastern, central, Bangkok and metropolitan, and eastern regions, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. The southern region will see heavy rain in some areas in the upper part of the region.
High-risk areas include: Northeastern region — Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin; Central region — Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Bangkok and metropolitan areas; Eastern region — Nakhon Nayok, Prachuap Buri, Sa Kaew, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat.
Residents are advised to watch for flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas, and remain alert for flash flooding and flash floods.
